Dean,
Please add a RTSP player widget to the Interface Viewer. Here's another person that could use it. Thanks. Bryan

What HikVision cameras are you using. I'm looking to add 4 now.
George
I am using 4 of the DS-2CD2042WD-1 units. They are IR mini bullets. I like them. Only draw back is the IR could be better. Advertised at 30 meters, and maybe it is my settings. They are 4mp and have a fairly wide view of about 80 degrees with the standard lens.
Thanks,

I have an HIKVision 16 port capture board, solid piece of equipment, been running stable for years!
I'm looking at one of these as my next IP camera either in
dome or
bullet form, 5mp and has 2.8 -12mm varifocus lense.
Only hesitation is the lack of a track record, HIKVision has been around for some time.

BI guys, I think I ready somewhere that y'all have figured out how to get still shots from the camera into an IV, right?
Any thoughts about using that message to have CQC email me an image file upon detecting a door opening (via the Elk?)

If you can get the camera to drop a snapshot, you can use the System::EMailURLImg command to send it.

Depending on the camera/NVR you can get the motion detection to trigger the same thing.
My camera can send a command to a URL [to the CQC web server] when motion is detected and CQC then react as required. I use the HTTP driver now - used to be a macro.
Most cameras/DVR's will only send an email. I have not tested it yet, but you could possibly use the SMTP driver that someone wrote a few years ago to act upon the incoming e-mail from the camera/DVR.
Stills and live video can be put into the IV - embedded in a web widget.
To get a still your camera will need to support that function - which a lot do, and then you can email it off.

BI does email snaps just like you are describing internally to BI, no need to complicate things by forcing it through CQC (though it can be done) BI email capability is extremely configurable.

I simply drop a snapshot into the HTMLRoot directory that gets overwritten every 20s. That way I can view it on mobile. You can do that direct from BI and just have it notify on motion.
Once the jpg is in HTMLRoot, I wonder if you could have CQC email it to you ... not sure how CQC would handle attachments.
do the needful ...

The command I mentioned above was added specifically for that. It is designed to e-mail an image.

oh! And damn, I should not have had that 3rd glass of wine tonight, I could have tried that now.
In my defense I had to deal with RFIT stupidity 3x tonight. Oh look, whiskey!
