Use single On/Off/Slider to control group

How would I configure a single slider to control a group of bulbs?

Would I need to simply write the value to all of them in my action, or is there a better way?

Generally, that's only really done well if the lighting system supports groups, so that the slider could control them via the group. Groups in a lighting system usually are all talked to at once via some sort of multi-cast from the lighting controller, so they all change at once. If you do them one at a time, they'll come on one at a time and it'll look pretty ragged.
