Consensus on Current Serial Controlled TVs

So power on is working with the RS232C in recent models?

That's really all I ever need is power on/power off.

Just asking because I may replace mine with new 4ks in the next year or so.

At work we use the pro models (See Above). With those, everything works great. When we get into a project that a customer purchased the product at a retailer or on line, then it becomes a crap shoot. Some work and some do not. It is highly dependent on the model.
