Yeah, and I did some more looking, and I'm not sure that, once installed, you can stop Win10 from auto updates--with the reboots that Mike talked about above.

I'm not necessarily against updates, but it's the unattended reboots while I'm away that cause all the problems if things don't come back on just right (not necessarily CQC which is set for auto login on the master server but cameras and video software on other Win10 machines).

JK: have you successfully turned off all Win10 updates? Home or Pro edition?

sure, go into services and DISABLE Windows Update.

when you do want to update, just go enable the service, start it, and run your updates.
do the needful ...
