Venue 8 Pro Windows 10
#1
Is anyone else here running the IV on a venue 8 pro with windows 10?

I made the mistake of upgrading and now only about 3/4 of the IV shows at full screen. The template is 1280x800 and the display properties say that it is set to 1280x800 so I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

I guess this is an issue unique to me.

Were you running it before with some previous Windows version and it worked fine?

Have you tried displaying an image of known size to see if it fits if just displayed as is full screen?

I have a Dell Venue Pro 10 and had no resolution issues upgrading to Win10 with a 1280x768 resolution

I've been running an IV on a HP Stream 8 Table with Windows 8.1, and have started getting the "don't miss Windows 10 for free" nag. The IV is the only thing I use on the Stream 8.

I have been very reluctant to upgrade to Win10 because of what I understand to be the lack of control over updates. I put 10 on a desktop (not my master server which is still on a Win7 machine), lost a couple hardwired drivers, and suffer from what seems to be auto reboots with updates.

Have those of you running Win10 on an IV had any issues with reboots or updates?

Is there any CQC feature that I am missing by not running Win10 on the IV (I would doubt that is the case, but just wanted to ask it as well)?

Thanks!

Just this morning my surface pro rebooted while I was away. I had a lot of browser tabs open and lost them all.

There's nothing lost in the IV by not running Windows 10. Hopefully before too long we can make it the baseline version because it would allow us to do some nice new things. But for the time being Win7 is all you need.

Hopefully NOT!

There is nothing wrong with W7 and there is no reason to stop using it.
