yeah, new firmware coming soon.

during all of this, ive also learned that there is a firmware update for the GE Link bulbs that is supposed to make them fully compatible with Hue, but you need to link them to a different hub to do it.

im on the latest firmware, the one that is supposed to restore access to the 3rd party bulbs. except it doesn't work for me.

i have 5 BR30 GE Links that won't reattach to my bridge. which sucks, because i (1) don't need those to be color bulbs and (2) really don't want to shell out another $300.

the A19 looks downright stupid in the housings, but i don't think i have a choice for the time being. luckily, i have 5 spare Hue White bulbs i can use in there.

maybe i can get one of those covers to put on the bottom of the can to sort of hide them. even losing some of the light behind the reflectors, it would still be plenty bright (the BR30's are too bright).
