why can't i figure this out?
im trying to make a vertical list full of manual entries, with an image on the right and title on the left.
please help.
do the needful ...

I don't think any of the existing manually settable list browsers deal with an image. They are just text based.
You would have to set up a bogus media repo and use the CAB, creating a layout template that puts title text on the left and the cover art on the right.
You could use the same bogus repo for multiple such things, by just setting up different lists as different albums or something like that. You'd have to look up the cookie for the particular list/album (there's an action command for that) and then set the cookie on the CAB.

ok, ill play around with the repos and see what i can come up with.
an overlay can be 'scrollable', right?
i think i can make this work ...

Yeh, overlays are very much scrollable. If the list is something that you can just set up as a fixed thing, then you can create a scrollable overlay with the contents pre-designed into it.
