Anyone figure out the iOS equivalent of the tasker task that when a phone connects to WiFi, perform a CQC task?
So trivially simple with Android, but one kid on android, one on iOS. They sometimes forget to text upon arrival home or school (they take city bus), would be nice to automate.

Specifically what you're asking is Not possible AFAIK.
BUT you can ping the phone with the network monitor driver and do it that way. That's what I do. And as of the last version of CQC, ping finally works!

Buy a phone with a real OS :-)
just kidding. Ok, that sucks. The wife's iPhone is dying, maybe she'll see the light and choose a phone based on features and not whether its available in rose/gold. Or maybe the teenage daughter won't get an iPhone just because all her friends have iPhones.
LOL yeah, as if.

Very good question
Well, I use a combination of things.
1. geofence. its not perfect but its a backup to the backup if I leave and somehow the locking code isn't activated.
2. locking actions. Locking the house marks the phones invalid.
3. time values. a phone can only sleep for so long. If a ping is/isnt successful within a certain amount of time and the house is unlocked, then you have an idea that something is wrong.

I think your best bet is to use beacons or geofencing.
