Not sure if this has been mentioned here yet or not.
Apparently the amazon dash button can be used for automation and from what I have heard we can make it work with CQC quite well.
Someone has written a page somewhere on the net, but I cant be bothered to find it as Amazon is not present down under and hence there is no prime membership for us.
So the jist of it is, you go through the registration process, but cancel out of the last step. When you press the button, it wakes up, connects to the wireless network and then sends the request to Amazon. Without the last step completed, it just connects to the network and then goes to sleep again. Using the network monitor driver, you use it to detect the presence of the dash and then trigger an event from this.
At $5 for a button, they make cheap buttons to add some fun automation with (car, bedside table, whatever).
