I am looking for a way to tell when the dryer finishes, is one of these sensitive enough to detect vibrations when its running? If not I will use a temp/humidity placed in the vent.

I have several tags.  I have attempted to use one to tell me how often my basement sump cycles as a result of my water softener, iron filter, and basement bathroom toilet & sink discharges.  I secured the sensor to the discharge pipe of the sump hoping it would sense the pipe vibration -  and it doesn't work so well.  If I set the sensitivity =>95, then I get a ton of false alerts.  It works well with gross motion, but less well with fine motion.   So far no luck on this effort.

Door motion (I use sensors on both garage doors) is very dependable.

I use a tag with temperature sensing to measure the number of water heater cycles - and it is very dependable.

You could always get a Brultech GEM and start monitoring power on various things. That would tell you a lot.

Thanks for the feedback. Did a driver get written? It is not immediately obvious.

FYI looks like they upgraded the interface between these and IFTTT. I can now get the actual heat or humidity into CQC. I just use a webhooks request with temp as the ingredient in the IFTTT Applet, and CQC puts it into a variable.

For the newbies, I recorded a YouTube about what these are here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRhiag_2ras
