Amazon Echo Hue Simulator Driver

I use Dynu and the dynamic dns is free if you use their www."your own web address".dynu.com. Then download their updater app and it keeps it up to date with any DNS changes.

I signed up for dyn.com and installed the service on my router.  I can ping the name externally and get a reply.  The dyn.com portal also correctly displays the make and software version of my router, so it must have got that far.  However, I cannot access the CQC web server.  I think my ISP is blocking access on most ports - possibly security or more likely to get me to pay a lot more for a corporate account with a static IP address and specifically opened ports.

Probably need to open a port on your router and port forward to the CQC machine in question (IPAddress:Port). During the install process certain ports will be mentioned. Unless Dean comes back with the port, try to reinstall the CQC software to the point where the port is displayed, then cancel out.

You will need to do a few things.

1. Get a DNS address
2. Get a certificate for that address from one of the usual providers
3. Install the certificate on the web server machine (that's a Windows thing)
4. Set up the CQC Web Server to use it (that's done in the installer)
5. Also in the installer you set up the web server with a port for non-secure
comms and secure comms. The secure one is the one you'd forward to.
