luckily, i don't get too much grief. i think she recognizes this as my hobby, and as long as it works and doesn't interfere with her day to day, she's good with it.
and she LOVES the Hue system, Nest, and Dropcam.

yeah, my wife LOVES voice control. Her control word isn't "Ok Google" though, its "Ok Vivek".
Despite me saying "you realize you have the same apps on your phone as I do, or you could just get the tablet and use your own voice? YOU JUST USED 3 OF THE 5 WORDS TELLING ME WHAT TO DO."
But the married guys here will realize its a lot simpler to just sigh and say "Ok Google, bathroom vanity off" than to argue.

btw which vibration sensor? All AO sells is ones that respond to glass break or intrusion, I don't see anything like what you're talking about.

The GEM has a V2 compliant driver. Not that that makes an immediate difference, but at some point we'll add power monitoring to the auto-generation stuff.

check out the pictures - the third one shows the internals. looks like something like that would work well for a washer/dryer.
the Elk must have something similar.
