I want to post a poll, so bear with me if this doesn't work.
But I want to know how many of us are successfully running a Z-Wave network, and if so, what Master Controller are you using? If you could kindly answer, and then post the model of what you use, I would appreciate it.

I'm in a 1000 ft2 apartment with 14 zwave devices. It's all leviton gear including the sub stick and there software. It's hardly used because reliability is awful and configuration is difficult.

I'm all Leviton and Cooper Aspire. Things are going pretty well.
Back when I had some other cheap brands mixed in, things were a bit more erratic.
Back when I had X-10, my top-of-the-line PCS dimmers never failed. Rock solid. I had to throw the cheap stuff out because it was unreliable.
I'm convinced that the secret to living with Z-Wave is the same as X-10 was. Either buy the good stuff, or be prepared for disappointments.

Over 50 items including Yale lock here for over 7 years. Had to replace the VRC0P once, Controlling all through CQC to Elk. Shouldn't say this because the gods will strike me, but haven't had a hiccup in over two years. Tried using the CQC driver a couple of times but never worked as well as the Elk. Kept having to reset the VRC0P. In fairness though, haven't tried it in a couple of years so I'm sure it has improved. Just don.t want to mess with something this working.
Thanks

You were probably using the old V1 VRC0P driver, which polled, and probably beat the thing to death. The new V2 one doesn't do that. But, it also don't support status for non-association supporting units.
