Fibaro Z-Wave Devices
#1
Does anyone have any experience with Fibaro Z-wave Devices? I am in need of several multisensors for my setup and am considering the Aeotec Multisensor and now the Fibaro Multisensor. It appears to be a fairly new device and although Fibaro apparently has several devices on the market, I have never heard of them.

The thing I like most about the Fibaro multisensor is its size. These devices need to go in prominent areas of the house and the Aeotec appears to be larger than I would like

More info here: http://www.fibaro.com/us/the-fibaro-syst...ion-sensor

Here is a video that provides a better idea of the size. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VA95nznzgWc

My biggest concern is the potential for compatibility issues with CQC. Anybody already using any Fibaro devices?

First I've heard of it, so I can't be helpful, but that's one of the nicest done web sites I've seen in a long time.

The motion sensor should be fine with the new V2 driver, though it'll need the usual investigation to figure out all of the requirements it has. I don't see any multi-sensors in the available Z-Wave support documentation, just individual sensors, door, motion, flood, etc...

Looks like vaporware currently. Almost all their devices are pre-order. And all the media content on their website looks computer generated.

Did some testing with the Zwave Fibaro z-wave lights and they workeded well and looked great. I only could set the canned config values(parameter 72) and not a color. I think setting actual colors is going to need a modification to the driver as it is more than just setting a "config". After looking at the smartthings driver the protocol is pretty clear but was over my zwave knowledge.( I couldn't figure how to write color strings like white "33050302FF03F104E064" directly to the zwave device(Fibaro).

I set up a few command buttons to test and they worked(here is one to set it to "fire place" color or flames)

Devices::FieldWrite
   P1=Zwave.InvokeCmd
   P2=SetCfgParam FibaroRGBW 72 6 1
   P3=True

Here are the ones I tested.. (value 6-10)
------------------------------------
Fire Place paramNumber:72, value:6,  size:1
Storm paramNumber:72, value:7,  size:1
Deep Fade paramNumber:72, value:8,  size:1
Lite Fade   paramNumber:72, value:9,  size:1
Police paramNumber:72, value:10, size:1

I think it would be a great addition to CQC as these lights have great array of colors. I have seen them used in under kitchen cabinet lighting and looked fantastic.

Take a look at the new Monoprice Z-Wave Plus Multi-Sensor.  $40, not vapor-ware (but backordered until March), tiny.

Actually, it's not.  We've had the Fibaro Home Centre running alongside CQC for about 2 years now.  It's quite nice, except it's difficult to create your own 'look'.  We have several Fibaro devices - their wall plugs are very, very nice.  If I could find a way to integrate them with CQC I wouldn't use the Fibaro server tbh.

Doesn't the Home Center have a REST API?  Could we get a CQC driver for it directly?
