4.5.20 autogen calendar questions... this is just a curiusity thing...no issue per se
#1
1st, whats it do? is it suppose to do something?
2nd, when i press it, I get an error msg:

still I thought the autogen thing looked cool on my desktop, but it looks even cooler on my big kitchen touch screen...
I just wish more of my drivers where V2... going back and redoing all the logic/action programing to make my V1 drivers work seems doable, but also seem like an extreme amount of work/effort...
NOTE: As one wise professional something once stated, I am ignorant & childish, with a mindset comparable to 9/11 troofers and wackjob conspiracy theorists. so don't take anything I say as advice...

I'll look at the calendar. There may be some left over action in it or something that shouldn't be there. Ultimately I need to make a read only mode for the calendar, for uses such as this, since there's no purpose to being able to interact with it. It's just for display.

In terms of drivers, as it relates to auto-gen, there's no benefit to having a V2 driver unless it's supported by the auto-gen system. So, for now, only lights, HVAC, weather, security, and music/movies are supported. And most of the drivers that provide that sort of functionality have been updated at this point, though ISY and UPB are still to be done. ISY is just about ready.

As other functionality is added to the auto-gen, we'll tend to attack those drivers that support that new functionality in order to make them available for that new stuff.

The biggest area where other gears is involved would be the home theater / slash media room. But, you can define global actions that will run at particular places to help integrate those bits into the auto-generated stuff. So you can set up global actions that power off/on devices and do device setup when you enter the movie or music areas, which helps you customize that stuff to some degree without getting outside the auto-gen system.

Moving forward more functionality and customization options will be available.

OK, there's a goober in the calendar where, if you click on a slot that isn't used, it still tries to calculate a date, but it's not valid so it gets an error. I would assume if you click on a good date slot, you don't get the error, right?

This should be fixed in 4.5.23.
