Problem Running UPB through GC-100

I am using the CQC UPB driver and running the connection through a serial port connected to the GC-100. I can control the lighting correctly with this setup, but it is not picking up any of the reported changes either by scheduled actions or manual changes at the switch. If I connect the same equipment to a serial port of a PC everything works as expected.
Anyone seen this issue?

That's pretty strange. Is this a full 9 wire serial cable?
Just as a sanity check, could you use a serial terminal and see if it's spitting the reports out the serial port, i.e. is the problem that they aren't getting through the serial port, or that they are but aren't something getting seen by CQC.
