if it is stored in the database that's going to require a driver change, right?

well, whether or not the new MM is storing the cover art in a database or if it's just using the folders that contain each movie, it's not being saved in JPG format in a single folder any longer.
Seems to me this is going to require the MM driver to change how it handles cover art.

Presumably so. Did you look in the actual movie directories? Did it move them there? If that's the case, then the change won't be too nasty.

yep, it appears that's exactly what its doing now. the format is
movietitle.mymovies-front movietitle.mymovies-back where movietitle is the name of the movie

it also has a duplicate where the format is
mymovies-front mymovies-back without the title. same size. jpg format. both sets are "hidden" if that makes any difference.

Actually, I take that back, it's going to be annoying to make that change, but I'll take a whack at it and get a new beta drop up for you to try.

Dean,
Wait! Dont start that change. Or stop if you already have. I may have found the folder. Ill report back.
07-03-2014, 10:58 AM
I've already done it. But, it's fine. If there's a directory, and it has the art in it, then that will be checked first, else it'll look in the same directory as the content. But definitely let me know what you find and what the names of the images are in there. They should have unique numeric names that are based on ids assigned by MM. If they don't have those, then the current scheme of using images from a common directory won't work anyway.

Dean,
So i did find what i think is the new cover art folder. The files have a different extention and a different naming convention so they dont look like JPGs on initial examination. Im thinking this might be an easier fix for you. here is an example. 00000975-000001bf-0002 the type is FILE if i open this file with an image viewing app it shows up as the cover art. |
