Windows 8.1 tablet options, February 2014

You had me worried for a minute, thought I'd missed a reference to RT in the description. It does say full windows 8.1

I've been rockin a Lenovo Tablet 2 for a couple years now. All I can say is the lenovo ThinkPad stuff is built really well, very good looking, and a nice dock too. In comparison to an iPad though the battery life is dismal. Mine has the Atom Z2760 and it's more than enough grunt for CQC related activities. Including streaming cameras to IV. It's nice to see now that RT is out of the way companies are building tablets that can compete price wise to the rest of the world.

I've been playing with my Lenovo Miix 2 8 inch now for a few days and I can say I'm very impressed.

It's not the easiest thing to navigate windows with, but when I run the IV it works a treat.

I've found a generic dock that has an adjustable micro usb connector, it should arrive in the next couple of days, if it works well then a couple more Lenovos and docks will be in order!

I received the dock, unfortunately it's about an inch too small for the lenovo to sit centrally on it!

Back to the drawing board for the dock :-(

i have one of these laying under my end table. i totally forgot i had it, but it got me searching around again.

and i found a slew of Dell Latitude 10's and docks on eBay. looks like you can get both the tablet and dock for under $200.

maybe that would be a solid way to go - just put a few of those around.

I've had a look online at the Latitude ST2, it looks good and the dock is a bonus. Will keep an eye out for one and give it a go.
