Overlay images

I've just upgraded to version 4.4.1, and I've lost my overlay images.

I've read the upgrade documentation, but can't seem to find a definitive explanation for this.

overlays are also now also scrollable. Currently this is limited to overlays that have a solid color fill, or tiled image background

Have overlay images been disabled? The above would suggest not, but I can't find anything else that references overlay images, so I'm a bit confused as to why none of my images display anymore. (They are all visible when editing the templates, but are not displayed when viewing.)

There was a slight change to help make things more flexible, and you might have gotten bitten by it. The Overlay section of the Intf Designer technical document discusses it, though I may have failed to say something in the upgrade guide. If so, I need to upgrade the upgrade guide.

1. If the overlay itself has an image, that is always used, regardless of what is set on the templates loaded into the overlay.
2. If the overlay itself doesn't have an image, then whatever is set in the loaded templates is used.

So, if you are putting separate images into the loaded templates, make sure the overlay doesn't have the image enabled. It might be enabled but set to an empty image because nothing was ever selected. That would cause it to override the images in the individual loaded templates.

If you have an image set on the overly itself, then that should always be used. If not, let me know.

That was it! I don't believe this explanation was in the upgrade guide - although I may have missed it... I've had 4 day headache which just subsided today, so although I read your explanation twice already I wasn't able to fathom it out until now. Yeesh I had wool in my head :oops:
