Smart Lock Support?
#11
So far I haven't had any hiccups with Geo-Fencing. It actually generates a log, and I can track my movement into and out of my fence, which is really cool. I don't know if I have the capability, but that's a good amount of data that could be used to have CQC start building/learning routines.

This is the lock I started looking into after the Lockitron fiasco: http://www.poly-control.com. Looks really cool and has BT and ZWave - gonna wait until I read some reviews of folks with 'lock in hand'.

I like the geofencing stuff but I am still a little leery of having it control locks or security. I really want to see it happen to verify it worked.

I'm waiting for Yale to bring out their new Real Living zwave locks Q1 2014. They will have NFC capability built directly into the locks; the current models don't. The other plus is that the Yale locks have a tapered bolt so alignment doesn't have to be 100% and can better handle a door with weather strip insulation.

jkmonroe don't limit yourself to shopping at smarthome.com, if you haven't already done so take a look at automatedoutlet.com as well as homecontrols.com
