Yamaha RX-V673 IP control Driver
#11
so i guess im out of luck then, thats the only thing I could thing of to get the codes.

Is there a way I could read the control on my computer when I use the remote with the receiver, like maybe poll the current source or scene ect to get the requirements for you?

That would be pretty iffy. Sometimes the values sent aren't the same as the values it expects in outgoing commands. If we aren't starting from a known good position, then I'd spend too much time messing around and trying things. If they don't want to provide formal documentation for their stuff, it's just not worth trying to second guess it. I'd have to charge you for that time, and it would get expensive and somewhat open ended.

You could always approach the dealer you bought it from and see if they could get some info out of Yamaha for it.

Hi dean,

Managed to get hold of everything from a Yamaha rep, the ethernet spec and the functional tree.

Do you have an email address and I can send you a copy? its too large to upload.

How hard would it be to incorporate all the functions?

INPUT: HDMI, Airplay

Functions: Radio channel selection, netradio selection, numbers on keypad for pre defined stations ect.

Thanks

Dale

You can send it to support at our domain. I'll take a look at it and see if it all looks good.

Hi Dean,

Where do I find the support domain email address?

I just meant to the user 'support' at our domain (charmedquark.com.) I didn't want to spell it out explicitly, in order to avoid e-mail harvesting bots.

Hello

Just wondering how you did get on with this driver and was looking into this line of receiver (RX-V473 in my case) and such a driver would be excellent. Also can it switch the receiver On from an Off state?

thanks

Jim

We've not started on it yet. I just got to the point yesterday of being ready to do it, and he's probably doing holiday stuff right now so he hasn't had a chance to open it up for me to access.
