Yamaha RX-V673 IP control Driver
#1
Hi Guys,

Wondering if someone can help me build a driver for the above Yamaha model. Im currently using the A3000 IP driver, which works for everything on my model, however it does not include all the sources (HDMI ect) and also has no option in the driver to use for selecting radio station ect.

Is someone out there able to help?

Thanks

Dale

If some documentation can be found, I can do it for you.

Thanks Dean,

If i decomplied the current Yamaha app for android, and provided the IP control they use, would that work?

Thanks

If you can figure out the missing bits for sure that would be fine. I can't afford to spend too much time hacking around. So I'd just want to be sure we have what we need. Presumably if the A3000 drivers works in general, then we know it's the same basic protocol, so we just need the missing values.

The following is what I require,

Im not sure where I can get the actual XML list from though.

INPUT sOURCE - Missing HDMI 1-5
- Missing Tuner
-

Missing the following options when Tuner is selected
BAND
Preset
Tuning

and also not sure about program up and program down, or to send channel number.

I found the below command list, don't know if this will help.

It's not the right model, so it's not going to be useful. I have a protocol document with lots of models in it, including the one in that zip file, but the lowest model number I have info on is the 700 range. There are no 600s in it.

Hi Dean,

This link has all the control commands from a guy that ported the AV yamaha app to windows phone,

this app works perfectly on my device,

will that work?

If we could make a driver off that, it would control multiple devices via IP

That wouldn't be very useful either, since it looks like it's using a completely different, HTML based, interface, not the standard control protocol that our driver uses.
