Once we get into the late stages of the 4.5 release, and I can't make any big changes and am just waiting for things to stabilize and I need to work on peripheral things and I can probably take a look at it.

FYI,
I've been playing with the command line options for JRiver, and one of them allows you to force an export of the database to xml. This could be coded up into a cqc scheduled event so that your export happens overnight every night.
I've recently figured out how to have CQC play movies on my Oppo. It requires the DVD Profiler driver with the dvd profiler export, and JRiver command line. I'll write it up here in the next week or so. It took me about that long (with Dean's help) to put the pieces together.
If the JRiver driver handled movies, I could bypass dvd profiler. Though I will admit, the dvd profiler app for iPhone is pretty slick. Really nice cover art rolodex.

Yeah, I used to use DVDProfiler when I had my DVD collection... I sold almost 1000 DVDs and now I am building up a Bluray library. It would be a major pain to load all of them up into DVDprofiler now (I have over 300).

I still have 2 777's loaded up, but am starting my rip process. Needed to make sure I could automate streaming to the Oppo before I went down the path of ripping about 700 dvds.
Been buying a few blurays of late. It's hard to tell the full difference between SD and HD, as my projector upscales if it receives SD. Still, HD is better than upscaled SD, even when the Oppo does the upscaling.
My comment about controlling the Oppo was for streaming. I now have a system where I can use DVDPro as my library, and then pass JRiver a command line to stream to the Oppo. If there's an easier way, I haven't figured it out yet.

Isn't there an Oppo driver in the driver dev section? I know you were trying it with UPnP, but I thought there was a dedicated Oppo diver? If so, you could avoid the JR playback thing.

There is an oppo driver, but it can't manage network files. I need to launch the movie first, then the driver can take over.

Edit: maybe I'll take a quick look at the driver again just to make sure I'm not missing the obvious.
