Adding a client PC

I have an XP Pro box as my MS and I'd like to add a remote client on another PC that's running Windows 7 Home Premium. Is that possible?

I'm no networking expert to say the least and I'm at the point on the client Win 7 install where it's asking for the host name of the master server. What is that exactly and how do I create it on the XP MS?

XP has Workgroups I think and Win 7 has Homegroups; are they the same thing?

Pardon my ignorance on this - I've searched the forum and not finding this - what I'm sure is simple network stuff for most of you.

Each node on a Windows network has a host name. If you don't know what it is, go to the machine where the MS is running and open up a command prompt window and type:

ipconfig /all

The first line will be the name of that machine. If you go back to the other machine, you should be able to enter that as the name of the master server. It'll test the connection and let you know if it worked.
