Z-Wave Door Locks & Other Z-Wave Questions

Got it.

Does the Leviton software come with the USB stick or do I have to purchase it separately?

Thanks

It's a separate thing, AFAIK.

I bought the stick separately and not the model you linked, this: Leviton VRUSB-1US Vizia RF + Installer Tool USB. The software is a free download.

The one I ordered is still on back order.......will this one work?

http://www.amazon.com/Aeon-Labs-Z-Wave-Z...B003MWQ30E

Or does it have to be a leviton?

That's a series 2, which I don't think supports locks.

What about this http://www.smarthome.com/86550/Leviton-C...ick/p.aspx

Once of the reviews says "Doesn't apparently support newer devices (locks)"

I just need to make sure whatever I order will be compatible with the VRC0P and will also support locks.

Sorry for all the questions I juts want to get it right the first time and can't seem to find accurate info on Google because it seems about 95% of the users are using Vera not VRC0P......

Just call automated outlet and they will walk you through what you need.

For locks you need to buy the latest generation leviton branded USB stick and the latest model vrcop. I believe the thinkstick is an old model from a company leviton acquired and will not work with their current software.

It's ridiculous how badly these things are documented. But Homeseer shows this Aeon stick as having the required support:

http://store.homeseer.com/store/Aeon-Lab...-P746.aspx

But, whether that is the same as the Amazon one linked to above, it's hard to say. They call this one Aeotec S2, but the Amazon link doesn't make it clear if that's what it is or not. If you go to the Control Think site, they give absolutely no information of use.

Probably they are the same thing, but I can't say for sure.
