The Source field was removed, and that functionality will be implemented by the Switcher device class. This is painful to do this late in the game, but failure to do this was a significant lack of foresight and it needs to be corrected. The ability to handle source selection generically will be very powerful, and it can't be done unless it's done via a standard interface.

Matrix Switcher will be removed and there will just be a single Switcher device class, so that all switching can be handled generically.

4.4.929 will include this change and will update any shipped drivers to comply.
