Apc Ap9606 & Snmp

Is anyone using the SNMP driver with an APC Masterswitch AP9211 with AP9606 SNMP Managment? I need to be able to control some outlets not using z wave and I think this route might be the cheapest.

I am using an APC9221 and 9224 SNMP management unit with the SNMP driver, works great. The 9221's are all over ebay for cheap. The 9224 may be a little harder to find. Make sure you get the connector cable (serial) with it. One 9224 can control multiple 9221's, you just daisychain them together. The config file below assumes only 1 9221 is being used. I don't know about the 9606 but the MIB may be similar. I think I had to change out the plug on the 9221 because it had a 20amp type plug. But it was easy to do.

Quick related question. I'm working on a distributed audio system based on Sonos and one of the issues I'm having is coming up with a way to turn on/off the amps as needed. If I were to use the 9224 with a few 9221, would CQC be able to recognize when I turn on the Sonos via Sonos app and then turn on the appropriate amplifier? Thanks.

I am not familiar with the sonos driver but if it shows the state of the Sonos I dont see why you couldn't trigger the power on/off.

Thanks for the info. Regardless of the Sonos driver, I went ahead and picked up a 9224 with 3 9221s as I had been wanting remote control of outlets. Nice setup for under $200.
