I've recently started an Arduino project for a hydroponic system (vegetables, and not the kind you smoke). I don't have the time to learn how to program an Arduino, but I found a fantastic application called APDuino (http://apduino.com/).
You load the system on your Arduino, and it allows you to add a variety of sensors, rules and controls. I'm currently monitoring the temp, humidity and light in my office. If you want to see my feed, look here: https://cosm.com/feeds/96076
Even though APDuino has limited documentation, it took me almost no time to set this up. I plan to eventually use one for an HVAC control system.
