No, mine is not discover-able. I double clicked on the line in realport and typed in my IP.
Oh, did you make sure you have the latest firmware? When I got mine it has some nasty web interface. Once I upgraded the firmware it was quite a bit nicer. Mine was from ebay.
Tonight I might spend time trying to figure out why my alarm doesn't work correctly with it. So far my UPBPIM seems fine. (I currently have 2x serial devices).
I tried wiring up the serial to cat connectors and had no luck... The Digi cables were $30 for 2 shipped I believe. I will have to check how to figure out the firmware version I have.

My HT equipment I want to control by CQC (some day hopefully)
Yamaha CX-A5100, Dune HD pro 4k, Dune HD Pro 4k plus, ISY 994i, LG 86" 4k FP, and a projector in the future
For the Etherlite 16, I first got the device to work on a comm port on the computer where the Digi device was being installed. I had one comm port on that computer, and made sure the device worked in CQC. Once I did that, I plugged in the EL 16, then ran the software that set the IP address. After that, I installled the Realport software, and that added 16 new comm ports on my computer. Each of the Digi devices have different wiring diagrams, and I built my own cable for the EL 16. There is lots of documentation for all of their equipment on wiring setup. On some of the devices, I used the "Typical" in the setup on Windows but on a few, I had to try and figure out which ones worked, as they would not connect on those. "Less Overhead" usually worked if Typcial didn't.

Hope this helps.
Thanks, I think I have the setting correct but it might be the wiring of the cat5 adapters to db9. I had some on order and they never showed so I have another one coming next week. If the new cable solves it I know it is a cable problem if it doesn't then I know it is a setting. I am hoping it is a setting but either is fine as long as I get this working. I just hope I get this going before I can afford to upgrade my AVR and Projector, as I will be looking for network controlled hardware in the future. The only need for serial will be my UPB.

I have it to where CQC says my Epson is connected but when I click on the button I have setup for power it says driver rejected. Does that sound like a config or wire problem?

Does this look right? I see blank areas in the config and I am wondering if this might be the problem.

I have the proper Digi serial to cat 5 cables... installed a cat 5 coupler (to extend the short cables) and still not working. Makes me think that it is a internal setting. Does anyone use the Denon 3806 or the Epson 1080? If so the settings you used for the com port that worked ie. low overhead, typical etc., would be nice.

Ron

One thing to do of course is to try to remove variables. If you have a laptop or something with a built in serial port, try to connect to it with that and verify that the cable is good and the device is responding. Then you know for sure any remaining issues probably are the serial server, and can concentrate on that without doubts.
