No - it is not in the task scheduler.
Thanks,

Anyone using the Tray Monitor on XP?

Do you have the TM installed on any Win7 machines? Do you see the scheduled task in there? And here I'm assuming you checked the Auto-start option on the TM during installation, else it wouldn't have installed the task anyway.

Well Task Manager is installed by default on WIn7.
When I browse to the C:\windows\system32\tasks on the win7 machine, the shortcut to CQC Task monitor is there. I did not place it there so I guess it worked with the install. On XP, you get there by running the msconfig app. The tray app is under the startup tab, but only due to me entering it manually in the startup folder. I thought in XP there were only two ways to accomplish auto startup; writing the app to the HKLM or HKCU registery area or placing the shortcut in the startup menu.

The API for the task scheduler is apparently there or the installer wouldn't run, but maybe it just doesn't do anything on XP.

I think that the issue is that there are two versions of the task scheduler API. Version 1 is supported on XP, but not later versions, and version 2 is supported on later versions but not XP. I'm using V2, so probably it just fails to do anything on XP. It probably also gives an error in the uninstaller when it tries to remove any existing scheduled task.
I think that, given that XP is moving now inexorably towards old age, for the time being anyway I'm just not going to support that type of auto-start on XP and will just grey out that option, and you can just put it in the Startup folder the old fashioned way if you want auto-start. If time permits I'll look at supporting it on XP as well.

Agree - You have larger fish to fry and must keep the product moving forward. Xp is going away just like the VGA port.
