I had this problem, but its been a while since i resolved it so caution im going from memory.
do you have your MM on a seperate machine from your CQC master server?
if so, you need to set up the ODBC on the same machine that your MM/SQL server is on.
also in the wizard set the "change the default database" to MyMovies
i used NT authentication for the user(an administrator) i was configuring and running it under.
hope this helps.

For W7 its mstsc /admin
This will be exactly the same as being on the machine itself.
We have to do this a lot when we administer our OPC servers.

Is that from a command prompt? The 'Run...' command? I did both and still got the error.
However, I'm not sure if not having the /ADMIN startup for the entire My Movies Collection install might not be an issue.

Nope, the MM is on the CQC master server.

I don't get to that screen. I get the error when I click 'Next' on the prior screen.

I'll give that a try.
EDIT: The NT authentication worked! I got the MyMoviesDSN created and the My Movies Repository driver installed. Woo, Hoo!

Either the run box or command prompt or even a shortcut if you want. All it does is log you on as a console user and not a remote user so you have higher privileges and should be used when installing and configuring system stuff. For general usage just the normal RDP remote session would be OK.
This comment was in response to the comment that you should do the install from the actual PC itself.

Sweet!
Like i said, my memory was shoddy of what exactly transpired, but i had the exact same obsticles you described. it must have been the NT logon thingy that fixed it for both of us.
Glad to hear its working...

Maybe at some point they stopped using SQL Server authentication or something.
