I would be willing to donate some funds to commission the development of an official Nest driver... I would appreciate the fact that it would be V2 compliant then (assuming Dean would make it V2 compliant).

Oh, definitely. There'd be no justification for doing a non-V2 driver at this point. I'd take a more detailed look before committing, but I didn't see anything from a quick scan that would prevent it from supporting V2 compliancy.

Just keep us informed on where you stand... also, I appreciate you taking the time to develop drivers on the side while undertaking such a large rewrite of the core system. I am really excited for the new HTML IV in version 5... As always, you impress!
