Onkyo/Integra serial control protocol

I wrote Onkyo's tech support because I wanted to know if there new TX-NR708 receiver could be controlled by the serial port and they sent me the protocol document that appears to support a number of their receivers. I thought I would post it here for future reference.

The TX-NR708 runs about 650.00 to 700.00; this seemed like a pretty good deal for a possibly cqc controlled receiver.

I know there is a integra/onkyo driver that Mark Stega wrote, But I have not used it yet.I think it works with almost all of the recievers.

I am using the current integra/onkyo driver with my TX-NR807 and it works.
