I'm sure it's something simple, we just need to get the logging output and see what it's unhappy about. As I said, nothing was purposefully changed related to RIVA, and the Windows RIVA client still works fine, without any RIVA related changes (just changes to the simple wrapper program that hosts the RIVA client window.) We need to see if anyone has tried the iOS one. But it's got to be something minor that changed.

Same here. I use Riva. Haven't tried the CQC 5.0 yet.
Thanks

On my Kindles (which are my primary access points for CQC), I use RemoteRDP. The only negative experience is "Power on", then "Swipe left" to unlock the kindle and then choose the windows session in rrdp to finally get to cqc.
Unfortunately that sequence won't be much different with an HTML5 client.

Thinking about this some more... if it won't even run with a very simple template, then it's nothing to do with some unsupported graphics operation having been added, I don't think. Since the protocol itself didn't change at all, it's got to be something pretty obvious.
Check the CQC logs for anything on the CQC side that's maybe rejecting the connection or something. Run it and let it fall over, and see if anything new shows up in the logs on our side.

I used to use TaRiva on an Android phone, and for whatever reason it quit connecting. I had seen Wuench mention RemoteRDP, and it works great, so just switched over to that - probably 1+ year ago.

what do you run on your server?
Can you direct the RDP to just one window, or does it see your whole desktop?

Each RDP session is a virtual desktop, and a virtual Windows session. So they don't see each other's windows or anything.

ok i give. Where do I see the logs in 5.0? (Not the log server, the place where you used to be able to read the logs normally in the AdminIntf)

For now it's not in the admin client, use the log monitor program, which shows the live output. It also allows you to copy the displayed content.
I will probably make a version of that available inside the admin client as well.

a version of the live? Or the historical?
I really liked the historical. I have sooo many triggered events (mostly motion around the house) that the live one is nearly useless. It scrolls super fast, I can't actually see what any given one is. Plus I can't freeze the ouptut to a given time and let the bottom scroll with new stuff.
