Android RIVA Client: taRiva
That is the ultimate goal of the next step after 5.x, an HTML5 client, but that won't help Vivek in the immediate term.

One quick and dirty test is to just create a dead simple template, maybe empty with a static text widget or something and try to load that. If that loads, then it's not anything to do with the protocol really, it's probably that I started using some obscure graphics operation that it doesn't understand and I can go back and see what that is. It still won't load, then it's something more to do with the basic communications and we can look at that.

tried that, nothing.

If I'm the only one left using this, I wonder if I should just abandon this and look into the RDP thing. No point spending time on an app that has one user left.

You might want to try the RDP. Other folks use it and like it.

Shaky, what RDP app are you using? And how do you setup the server viewer?

You'll have to set up a separate CQC account for each RDP client definitely.

i'd think it would render the entire screen, is it possible to just point at a single window?

I'm not sure what you mean there? Each RDP client is a separate windows session, though of course in the background. But, each user has per-user storage for things like window states and the like. That little database can only be open by one program at a time. So you need to create multiple CQC user accounts in this case because you are running multiple instances of the viewer on the same machine. If you used the same CQC user account for each, they would all try to open that same database.

Oh, you mean the same template? Yeh, they can all be set up to use the same default template.

You are not the only one, I still use taRiva regularly on our phones. I'd probably not upgrade until there was a viable replacement if this isn't resolved.
