Zigbee based I/O system using XBee modules

Here is a good list to start at. You just need a ZigBee Dongle, and you should be in business, at least from a hardware perspective.

I would suspect that there will be a HA profile version of the XBee modules out at some point but as anogee has shown, there are probably any number of existing units that a CQC driver could be written for. I would be curious to know whether the existing XBee modules, which are fully Zigbee compliant (but not running HA profile) would automatically run as mesh extenders to a number of HA profile devices. I wish I had more time to play with this stuff!
