bah, all you really need is to have a centralized if-then for remote control (ie, pressing pause sends the command to whatever's being used). Maybe the ability to view to see what's being played.
What we really need is the ability to fully integrate CQC into Sage

I ordered one yesterday too and just got an email from Dell with a revised shipping date... 3/19! Geez, 5 weeks, that's almost as bad as the original Sage extenders

well, this was also posted on the sage forums, so i'm sure they got a crapload more orders than they expected.

Just got a mail today of a new shipping ETA of 2/19. Not too bad I guess.
As for integrating the existing extenders in to CQC : I need to do the work to get CQC to do all the steps allowing me to select a DVD either from a file share or from my XL1B for playback on an extender. Big thing there for me is creating the DVD repo and figuring out how to do pathing so I know which are on the changer vs which ones are on shares. Then for the changer ones I'll need to have the changer select that disc before playing it. I have all the logic in my head but I'm not yet sure how all of that translates to CQC code and UI integration.

I have to laugh @ Dell. After an email AND phone call last night saying delay to 3/19, I get an email at 3AM saying order has shipped complete with a tracking #? Either Dell is really screwed up, or I'm getting a fresh return or maybe even just a box of rocks as an apology????

Apparently mine already shipped yesterday and will be here on Tuesday. Guess I should figure out what to do with it...

well crap, I gave the inlaws our PVR-500 for the Sage server I built them. The wife just indicated that we shouldn't replace it with another SD recording, rather a 2nd HD stream, but the damn coupon is expired!
