I have been entering some cover art manually. I download the cover art I want to use, normally from Amazon, and add it to the repository. Unfortunately, the background on my interface is very dark, essentially black, and most of the cover art I import ends up with white bands on the sides.
Is there an easy way to get these side bands to be the same color as the background?
Thanks
Mike

I assume the bands are in the action image, right? If so, you'd either have to crop them before import, or find versions without them.

yea kinda what Dean said... Amazon got tired of people ignoring their ToS, so they added the white bands on either side to most of their images to try and mess with the people who are using them as an artwork source... if you really want to use amazon, then you need to open up each image with like paint or something and 'fix' it first...
you can also just use the covers from
AllCDCovers, they are usually pretty good... tend to be rather large, but CQC seems to shrink them adequately...

Thanks for the inputs. I had hoped to avoid the need to individually edit each piece of cover art with Amazon. I'll try the allcdcover route, and am also looking at MyMovies.

For movies I download my coverart from DVDEmpire. They have really large cover art, no background.

for movies, I kinda prefer the actual movie poster over the dvd artwork... personal thing, I just think it looks cooler...
movieposter.com & sometimes wikipedia are good sources for that... but its not always as easy as just grabbing the dvd cover...
