I just opened Macro Workshop for the very first time on a Vista Laptop and receive the following error:
An exception occured so the current operation has been aborted.
Details:
Could not create the rectangle region (1,-2147......)
The parameter is incorrect.
Error # 504/206/87
Facility CIDWind
Line CIDWnd_Region.cpp/335
Any ideas? It works fine on my XP PC. Also, other programs work fine on this Vista Laptop.
You probably were using RDP at some point? This is a known and annoying problem. Open up the CQC Command Prompt and run this:
"CIDMacroWS /NoState"
Then shut it back down again. Then you can open it up again normaly, but it'll have default window size/position again. Can you search the CQCDirectory for any .ErrorInf file from the macro workshop (the file name will have the program name in it) and e-mail me that if you find one. If you find any others, send me those as well, then delete them.
On whichever machine that you were running the macro workshop on. Do you have CQC installed on the Vista machine, or are you using RDP to the server? Open the CQC Command Prompt again and run CQCNetTest and see what it spits out. You can redirect the output and post it:
O.K. I found one problem. I had to start the CQC Prompt as an Administrator to successfully run CQCMacroWS /NoState and to run CQCNetTest > NT.txt (In addition to log in as an Administrator, and answer YES I really want to do that 5 times. Did I say Vista sucks?)
Anyway, Macro Workshop is running fine now, and I attached my NT.txt file. Does everything look O.K.?
