Universal Devices ISY Insteon Driver
#11
It looks like you are getting most of the way there, but it is timing out when getting a response to the node query. The default timeout is 1000ms (1 second) .

How many Insteon devices do you have? I have 12 devices and 1 second is plenty of time for a response. Maybe a longer list requires more time for a response.

You might want to try rebooting your ISY. But just in case I uploaded a new version of the driver (v1.1) which allows you to configure the timeout.

That was it, I started increasing the time by 200ms and it finally connected at 2000ms - I think am up to almost 40 devices.

Thanks for all your help!

For me the driver is stuck at "Wait for Comm Resource". The logs show

What versions of ISY firmware and CQC are you on? And can you turn up your logging level to high and get another log snapshot.

I'm on 2.4.0 CQC release and with 2.6.13 on the ISY.

Well, there is really nothing there to go on. So let's try this.
  • Make sure you are using the latest version of the driver at the beginning of this thread. If not download and install it.
  • Unzip and copy the file below to your \CQC\CQCData\DataServer\Manifests\User directory on you master server.
  • Restart the CQC Service
You should now have two entries for the driver. One of them says DEBUG in the description. Load that one, let it run for a couple of minutes, then you can remove/stop the driver. This will create a debug file in the \CQC\CQCData\MacroFileRoot directory named ISYDriver... Post that file and lets see if that tells us anything.

BTW, You don't want to use the DEBUG version permanently as that debug file can get big really fast. I hate to resort to this, but that is the only way I can get the info of the driver initializing and the logs aren't telling me anything.

Ok, log attached. Looks like a number of these entries:
Code:
01/28/09 21:26:26.875 - ParseResp: ISY Model:ISY 99i 1024 IR Firmware:2.6.13
01/28/09 21:26:26.875 - SetupFields: Getting ISY Nodes
01/28/09 21:26:27.890 - Send Exception: No reply to HTTP GET/POST request

Whats the call that it's making there?

Can you post the whole thing? Just attach it as a zip.

Edit: Actually looking at it again, it looks like now you might have the same problem as daddyd, it's timing out when trying to pull down the node list. Try increasing the timeout setting when you load the driver. He's using 2000ms for 40 devices, if you have more than that you might have to try a higher setting.

Odd, I had set it as an attachment. Not sure why it didn't show. Anyways, i tried again just now with a 7000 timeout just to be sure. In looking at the logs now I see an error about a duplicate key for Scene 20.

and, looking at the admin console, for some reason there are two of them. I don't even use scenes yet so not sure why those are there. Will delete and try again

<edit>
Fixed the duplicate scenes, set timeout to 5000, and now its working. Time to play with it.

Thanks!
