This landed in my inbox from another source, you might find it interesting:
Quote:This was demonstrated earlier this year at EHX, but NuVo has finally announced availability (August) and pricing ($999) for their Music Port device, which allows a PC to act as a multi-source music server to their Grand Concerto or Essentia E6G multi-room audio systems. I attended NuVo training last week (personal interest) and saw this demonstrated, and it rocks. The cool thing is that the Music Port enables the PC to be a ├ó┬Ç┬£NuVoNet├ó┬Ç┬Ø device, allowing all of the metadata to show up on the keypads throughout the house. It takes the analog outputs from the PC and treats them in as stereo pairs, so 5.1 = 3 streams and 7.1 = 4 streams. It├ó┬Ç┬Öll also include a NuVo branded version of the Media Control Server EX software from Autonomic Controls (http://www.autonomiccontrols.com/) which allows you to browse and select the content from another device (PC, tablet, etc.).
