iTunes coverart

Running iTunes 7.6.1.9 and CQC 2.3.3. Having a problem seeing the coverart in my Media Browser. I can see it fine in iTunes but not all in CQC. If I refresh the database in CQC then sometimes I lose coverart and sometimes gain but never see it all. Have even removed all the music in iTunes and reloaded everything and that did not help. What is the trick to getting all my coverart viewable in CQC?

There are some long threads on this you should probably search out. iTunes is very flakey about the cover art wrt to the XML data it provides. It's often not correct, or if it is correct then no one has figured out how to decipher it correctly. The right data is still available internally in their own database, but it doesn't make it out correctly to the XML.

One fairly reliable scheme seems to be to just force the art to be embedded into the files directly. But if you find some of the previous threads where Nishan and others laboriously explored these issues, you might get some ideas.

yes, the art needs to be embedded in the tags themselves. i did this by using WMP 11 on my VMC box. when you goto the advanced tag editor on WMP, there is an art tab (i think) and you can set the art to the tag itself.

BTW, if you drag art in itunes to the little artwork screen on the bottom left, it will not work in iTunes 7.6.1.9. try the WMP way if you can.

so i have a folder.jpg, artwork.jpg, and embedded art. it was a PITA.

I tried doing a search before I went and posted this message. So if there are some good threads on this can someone please show me the links so I can check them out?

Go to advanced search and in the member box put NishanF and in the keyword box put Itunes.
