XBox 360 or PS3?

I would strongly recommend the 360. Way better library of games right now, and no sign of that turning in PS3's favor.

If the PS3 was say $399, than I might recommend it, but it is just not worth the money right now.

For what its worth, I develop games for EA Sports, so I have some experience.

The HD-XA2 and the HD-A20 are the only two standalone HD DVD players that currently output movies in 1080p. The scaler in the XA2 is excellent for both HD DVD's and in upscaling regular DVD's. However, I have heard that the scaler in the A20 is not very good.
