I've decided to move everything to my Unraid server. CQC has been running forever, so I'm pretty rusty. I've completed the following steps.
Moved my early 5.4 CQC directory to the Windows 11 VM running on Unraid Server.
Upgraded via the recommended steps to 6.02. That appeared to go well.
However, two CQC issues.
1. Scheduled event set to run daily at midnight fails to execute. Works when manually triggered. I haven't checked weekly or monthly events yet. Has anyone managed to get CQC to run correctly in a VM?
2. RIVA. I had the Apple CQC app running on my previous CQC install, interfacing with default ports 13516 & 13517. I'm not sure RIVA came across during the upgrade. Is it part of the core or does it need to be selected. I was unable to find it.
1. I am currently running 2 Windows 10 VM's in unRAID so yes it should work. One CQC master and one client with Graphics passed through as well. I might suspect Windows 11 could be an issue, not sure if CQC was certified on Win11 ever or not. Others may be able to chime in on success/failure of using CQC with Win 11. Maybe try Win 10 to rule that out? Also, I have done this several times over the years... new events in CQC start off as disabled I think... make sure they are enabled. (any errors in the logs around the trigger time?)
2. Also rusty in this one as I have not used RIVA client for many years. I believe it was deprecated at minimum in newer CQC versions? perhaps removed altogether in favour of the HTTP/Web based interface. (Might be able to find that by searching the forums to be sure). Probably about 2-3 ish years ago is what I seem to remember where RIVA took a back seat.
Any idea on how to enable event? They test ok, but if I try to pause or resume, it says the event server could not be contacted.
Could be windows 11 as you suggested.
On Riva, I tried the HTTP/Web based interface without success. I'm currently setting the web server to port 81, but I'm using that to interface to Alexa. The Alexa response comes back in on port 81. Not sure if the two can interop.
Really like CQC. Spent a lot of time in the past getting it going. If only it ere a docker we could install in unraid

I have the web based interface set up like this on a secure non-standard port, and then do a port forward on the router on that nonstandard port to the CQCServer.

By enable I meant pause / resume I guess. Sorry for any confusion... My CQC lingo is starting to fade a bit. Yeah, if they test OK it sounds like something under the hood more in CQC/OS almost doesn't it.

What port is CQC expecting? Port 81 in my case?
Whatever you set up when the CQC installed the Web Server for your secure port. Port 443 is the standard secure port that I think CQC defaults to, but you can set it to something else if you want to avoid people trying to break in. Even with my non-standard port, I see activity on people trying to access the webserver.
You will have to walk through all of the settings on the CQC install (i.e. don't use previous install options), then when you get to the screen below, change them to whatever you want.

Thanks - will give it a try.
I did another upgrade from my 5.4 version to 6.02. This time on a native windows 11. No issues with the Events, so my problem with scheduled events has something to do with my VM install.

RIVA was removed after version 5.4 . I still use the Apple RIVA client as well, and will continue to do so for as long as the iPad it is loaded on lasts. Apple no longer has the Riva client in the app store.
I tried the CTC CQC app for WebRiva but could never get it to work and it appears to be unsupported now but you can still open WebRiva in a browser, but you cannot go full screen (at least I never figured out how).
Something to be aware of with WebRiva is that you may need to do some revision on your screens as some fonts may not render as you created them.

Good luck with your migration
my 2c,
webRiva work great on iPads.
You can use "Anyfont" on iPads to add any fonts needed or Wingdings.
To get full screen:
First, launch the Safari browser from the home screen and go to the webpage that you wish to view in full-screen mode.
After locating the webpage, tap the Share button at the top of your screen.
In the drop-down menu, tap the Add to Home Screen option.
Thx
Kevin
