Hunter Douglas Powerview Integration
#1
Has anyone here developed a beta driver or means to start/stop a scene using either a Gen 2 or 3 hub? Would like to automatically open or close shades based on a schedule.

Thanks,

I took a quick look at the API here, and it looks like it would be a pretty easy driver to write (Similar to several I have done - DarkSky, RainMachine), but without a Hunter Douglas PowerView Shade, it would be hard to test.

Looking at there website, they state

"With the PowerView Gen 2 or 3 Hub, PowerView Shades can be voice-controlled using Amazon Echo and Alexa products with a unique Alexa skill. This feature can also be used by creating an Applet in the Hunter Douglas If This Then That (IFTTT) channel."

I don't know much about IFTTT, but it seems like you could integreate that with scheduled / triggered events to get the shades to work if the above is true.

Thanks kblagron on the IFTTT heads up. I use IFTTT routinely but didn't know they HD had their own channel. Will  check it out.

Let us know how it goes.  I have a good number of shades that aren't automated that I would like to be automated.

You can use the the Gen 3 Hunter Douglas Hub to run the shades up and down on a schedule.  Much, much simpler for than trying to incorporate it into a CQC driver.  The Hunter Hub is very reliable.
