LED dimmer modules
#1
I am trying to locate a couple of micro dimmer modules for inserting in the wall. I found the Insteon 2442-222, but they are discontinued. I see other brands, but I do not know if they are compatible with CQC. Does anyone know of a product that will work with CQC and fits inside an electrical box? I currently use the isy994i, but will buy an additional hub if required to do this.

My HT equipment I want to control by CQC (some day hopefully)
Yamaha CX-A5100, Dune HD pro 4k, Dune HD Pro 4k plus, ISY 994i, LG 86" 4k FP, and a projector in the future

If your ISY-994i has Z-wave capability, you could try one of these in a Z-wave version.  I have Insteon ISY-994i with Z-wave, and use a Z-wave fan controller.  It works great and the only thing I had to buy additional was a Z-wave extender in one location because of the distance from the other fans.  What I like about it, everything is controlled through the ISY admin console.  I use the older insteon driver that Wuench wrote, but works fine.  There is a reason I don't use the shipped version, but I believe it was because scenes weren't implemented in it.

I've moved to Tuya based wifi devices that can be flashed with Tasmota - a third party firmware that removes cloud dependency. You can integrate these devices into CQC using MQTT. There are complete wall switches or just small "switchless" relays like the Shelly devices (https://shelly.cloud/) if that is what you need.

This reminds me that I really need to finish my posts about doing this. I totally got distracted and forgot to follow up with the rest of the posts.
Brian - a long time user that rarely messes with the system now
Other systems used:
SageTV w/ cablecard tuner & multiple extenders for viewing
BlueIris and IP cameras for CCTV
Incredible PBX for home phone

I purchased the ZWave module a year or two ago, but I have not used it (it is installed and says ZWave in the menu). On their website they show Zwave Plus and it says for the 994...no comment on if it is also for the 994i, so I do not know which one i have or if it is supported anymore.

That all looks very interesting.  I'm currently looking for LED RGBW controllers to use with CQC.  Interested in your posts when you find some time to complete.

The Fan module I mentioned was Z-Wave Plus as well - "Enbrighten, White & Light Almond, Z-Wave Plus Smart Fan Control, Works with Alexa, Google Assistant, 3-Way Compatible, ZWave Hub Required, Repeater/Range Extender, 55258".  Worked without issue and shows up in the Insteon Admin Panel.

Yeah, I guess I was a bit vague there.  Good to hear they work with CQC, thanks. I may give one a try then although looks fairly technically advanced/time consuming to get up and going from what I read.  I'm not a fan of cloud based stuff either so would look to flash firmware etc.

I picked up a Fibraro dimmer 2 module...it is z wave, so I will see if it will work with the 994i.

Question...can a zwave item using the isy994i be turned on and off via a Insteon scene controller since they are both using the isy994i?.
