I know that I can export individual templates, but was curious if I could do so with a folder of templates. I tried within the AI but received an error. It said "a scope was accessed as a file or vice versa", so I am assuming I can't.

Is there any other way to do this - a user was interested in looking at my templates, but I was trying to avoid generating a template pack for 100+.

Not really. It wasn't really designed for bulk operations like that.
