Unhandled system exception in the GUI Thread
#1
Anyone know what could be causing this when trying to go to the Client Interface of the serial driver (for RTI XP6) in the Administrative Interface?

Bouncing the services do not stop this from happening.

I right-clicked on my RTI XP6 driver and tried to go to the client interface and that's when this started showing up. When it is doing this the only way to close the Admin Interface is to kill the thread in task manager.

The logs show the following

That's probably from the move of drivers from being downloaded from the MS to being local. There was a problem with client side drivers in that. The latest beta fixes that. So I'm assuming you are on one or two betas back? If so, that's likely it.

I am running 5.4.913. I will reinstall it to see it that does anything but would appreciate you checking.

Same behavior after re-installing 5.4.913. I can open the Driver but not the Driver Client. Same error in the logs.

I'll try to load that one and see what happens. Maybe there's something different about those IR/trigger type drivers or something.

Thanks. There was definitely something that changed as in previous versions I was able to add triggers.

OK, yeh, the IR/Trigger client guy is the odd man out, and it uses a different helper batch file to copy to the installer image, so it never got into the image.

It's been updated to get into the next drop correctly.

Hey Dean, this same issue is also happening with the HTTP Trigger Driver. I can install it but when I try to access the interface, I get the errors.

It's the same driver under the hood. All of the IR/trigger type drivers really use the same underlying driver.
