After reading through the DoorBird API I decided to head in that direction as i will be able to integrate the video with my NVR as well as with CQC. Already picked up the DoorBird chime new without a box from eBay fro $75 which is a steal.

Goodness. Picked up a used DoorBird D202B for under $150 from ebay.

I use a regular illuminated doorbell button tied to an Elk zone. I have the Elk beep a few times when the button is pushed. Works just fine. I made the zone "EOL hardwire, non-alarm" to get the LED to work. Made a simple rule to get the beep throughout the house on the eight Elk SP12F speakers.
CQC 3.4.1 / ELK M1G / ALC lighting (and Zwave not integrated)/ Extron component video / Nuvo Grand Concerto / Ooma IP telephony / Aprilaire thermostats (and one Nest not integrated)
