As I'm progressing in looking through and use of CQC there seems to be a mix of information and looks like WebRiva is discontinued?
What is the best approach today for a wall display?
What about a table-top display or on a counter?
A tablet? Android or iOS?
A touch monitor connected to a system?
Which screens work well and which don't?
What about a raspberry Pi touchscreen for smaller area controls?
Has anyone had success with use of something like a Google Display and casting IV to it?

No WebRIVA is the replacement for the discontinued old RIVA which was based on some third party clients.

Surface Go 2 or Surface Go so you can have native Interface Template Viewer (IV) functionality, as well as built in speakers, camera, and microphone.

Thanks for the correction! Glad I was misreading it.

I thought about those or other windows tablets. Maybe a all-in-one PC as well. Would be interesting to have a native rPi client... I wonder if there's any chance in that happening.... Maybe Windows IOT?

I thought about those as well but the Surface's are more like the Control4/RTI
experience/look. And they are easy to mount on the wall

I picked up a Samsung windows 7 tablet for $100 used on ebay. Looks great, and works well. My only problem is I am getting some lag on the Dune driver. I do not know if it is a problem with the CQC driver or if it is a network problem. I do know if I use my wireless keyboard it is much better for scrolling through.

My HT equipment I want to control by CQC (some day hopefully)
Yamaha CX-A5100, Dune HD pro 4k, Dune HD Pro 4k plus, ISY 994i, LG 86" 4k FP, and a projector in the future

What are the specs of your tablet? How much RAM? 2GB?
Is this device the Master CQC or a "Slave"?

I saw some of those and I have two UNB Windows 10 tablets lying around I was thinking of plugging in and trying out.
As I progress with things (first step getting ISY fully integrated) I want to try out CQC voice and see how far I can take that as a replacement for Alexa today.
I don't have major media display requirements or even control (yet). I want a "dashboard" of environment status and room level lighting and HVAC control to start with. This is all just basic really I just need a way to display it and in a nice form factor. Target area one is replacement of an echo show in the kitchen.

I have been using a Dell Venue Pro 11 with a docking station for 5+ years, and been happy with it. I would love to have a Windows 10 option like a friend of mine has with an IPad that magnetically attaches to the wall and charges. He can attach/unattach at any time. The one wall unit I have which is a Xenarc 10" is hard wired to a HP Thin Client in the cabinet behind it. It is showing its age, but still functional.
